As the 2024 National Senior Certification (NSC) examinations kick-off, Higher{Education and Training Minister, Dr Nobuhle Pamela Nkabane, has reminded all matriculants to seize the opportunity to submit an application for funding through the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).
"The application window will shut on fifteen December 2024, and there are not many days left to post applications. Qualified students are urged to apply immediately to secure fiscal aid for his or her post-school education," Nkabane said.
Nkabane extended well wishes to all matriculants, who sat for the National Senior Certificate Exams, with learners writing languages, English and Afrikaans Paper three.
Nkabane reported this pivotal moment marks the fruits of a long time of effort and encourages the Class of 2024 to approach their tests with determination and self confidence.
With Just around 880 000 candidates, including 727 121 full-time and 155,215 part-time nsfas login candidates from across South Africa sit for this year's matric tests, throughout South Africa, Basic Education Minister, Siviwe Gwarube, has assured the general public of your department's preparedness to administer the tests effortlessly.
Nkabane highlighted a range of opportunities accessible within the Post-School Education and Training (PSET) system, which can be open to all matriculants searching for even more training and skills development.
The PSET system features:
• Community Education and Training (CET) colleges: Supplying skills development and nsfas application general education for students who want to carry on learning.
• Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges: Focusing on practical skills here and technical knowledge to equip students for employment and self-employment.
• Higher Education institutions: Universities and higher education providers offering degree and diploma programmes.
